This was an excellent book for our travels to Yellowstone -- and still very relevant even in 2017. We had a couple of other travel books, but the focus on Photography and the insightful tips here were just excellent, and several of them paid off in big dividends for us as we searched for outstanding views and special wildlife. The tips about catching the Rainbow over the Lower falls in the Grand Canyon at Yellowstone (at ~9:30-10:15am during summer months) was awesome. And the tip to drive east from Lake Yellowstone in search of Grizzlies paid off for us as well! And the general description and photography centric perspective made it a great addition to the normal family/tourist centric travel books we were already reading!!!

To be fair I would consider this to be a non-essential purchase. The premise is to provide a guide to photographing the park and it does, but a lot of it is common sense. The title takes you around the grand loop with a series of detailed scenarios for grabbing great snaps. Those descriptions are primarily based on time of day with frequent ideas for camera settings.There some suggested itineraries for six primary locations with recommendations for making a day shooting them. The closing table of technical specifications details camera bodies, f-stops, film, tripod and meter. It is well written and interesting but not required.

I loved this book! I visited Yellowstone with my friend and my daughter on a "Chick's Only" trip. We planned it for a year. I used this book as my primary source for planning what to see in the park and when to see it.***Even if you're not a photographer, this book is worth the buy just as a planning tool.***The schedule for the best viewing times and places was a terrific help as we planned our days. We did drive the Blacktail Plateau as suggested, and it was spectacular just as the author said it would be (also not crowded). We saw our only bear on this road--a black bear. ...And Artist Point--what a wonderful place. We were lucky enough to meet the designer of this particular view point (he was in the park with his family).The references for exposure settings and lenses were so helpful. Also, the tips on places to see that are less travelled (better shots) were great.I am planning to go back, and I will have this book in hand. Thank you for a terrific guide to my photography and travels in Yellowstone....And I did go back this spring. Again, this book played a big part in my planning and photography. I also have recommended it to the members of my photography club. Thanks, again!

This was a very helpful guide for our honeymoon trip to Yellowstone. My only comments:Camera technology has been updated vastly since this was published... perhaps an update is needed?The park is constantly changing... a lot is different since it was published - maybe an updated is needed?

This is a wonderful book on photographing Yellowstone. The author explains what to expect at the different locations in the park, the best times to shoot (e.g., to catch a recurring rainbow at a waterfall, to see wildlife), recommended lenses and filters, and many more details. He is also an excellent writer. My impression is that this was written by an individual who has a passion for photography and Yellowstone, and genuinely cares about extolling this experience and passion to others. Discount the reviews that complain about the photos being too saturated and/or that the book is oriented to film cameras because the content is very useful for planning your trip to Yellowstone regardless of the filters you use or the format of your camera. Highly recommended!

The author of this book has done photographers a tremendous favor with all the info he has put in it. Most photographers won't tell you where they were, let alone the time of day (and year) is best to get "the shot"! This book provides no shortage of wonderful information on many, many locations to get terrific photographs! He spent many weeks researching the locations and shots and it has paid off for photographers of all levels. If you're going to take a trip to Yellowstone, I can't recommend this book enough. Even if you're not a photographer, there is a lot of valuable information in this book to make your family visit even better! For the price, all I can say is "just buy it"!

I absolutely loved the story of Jetton and Julie! It was a fun read and I couldn't put it down. Who needs sleep when you have an awesome love story to read instead, right? This book is 100% clean and I had a slap-happy grin on my face during the almost kisses - and, of course, the kisses themselves, too! - between our two love birds. Another great story from Amberlee Day!!

I really enjoyed the characters, their development, and their interaction. I appreciated hearing from both sides. It was sweet and tender mixed with fun dialogue and romantic tension. I very much enjoyed it!

The concept of the Billionaire Cove series is an intriguingly fun fantasy in its own right, but the premise of this 3rd book in the series is one I've not seen before. I've seen the kind of restaurants where families & friends can fix their meal together. What a great idea to extend it to a personal home version to build & repair family bonds with a romance for dessert!The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the attraction between the two was a little too insta-love, and felt slightly clunky, initially, but by the 2nd half of the story it had smoothed out & felt more natural.I was surprised that the story's conflict wasn't the classic one it originally appeared that the author was setting up. Which was refreshing, but it did leave me wondering about Affton - was she trying to make up for what she had done to Julie, or was she maybe trying to help her get enough new business it would get her out of Jetton's house? Or was she just clueless that Jetton was attracted to Julie? And we never find out how things ended with her & Jetton.Still, these are relatively minor quibbles, and I still very much enjoyed the story. Looking forward to the next in the series!Clean romance level: sweet kisses

Too often, books in this genre tend to be little more than a checklist of physique (too perfect male and female form), hair (color and amount), eye color, etc., with money/income too often treated like a character. THIS STORY IS NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Yes, physical description is mentioned but not belabored. Money is not flaunted or overly important. Characters are written with depth and intelligence. More importantly, the themes explored could apply to any family regardless of whether annual income is 9-figures or 5-figures - family dynamics, career roadblocks, grief, emotional limitations, internet child exploitation, struggles to overcome the past, work/life balance, and faith. This is a story with depth - all the while staying clean and sweet, and is NOT at all the typical fluff I expected to read (and immediately forget) when I borrowed the book. I've added this title to my list of books to purchase. (Oh, and kudos on using a cover model that actually looks like the character described. Well done!)

I love visiting The Cove. I enjoy cooking, so I really was intrigued by Julie showing a family how to cook and have family time together

I really enjoyed reading this book.

This book was so fun! A man raising three kids after the death of his wife grows closer as they have someone come in and teach them to cook.

I absolutely adored this book. It had all the feels, and also made me want to make family dinners more of a priority. I love this author's writing style and can't wait to read more of her work, as well as more of this series!

Starting with a discussion of nutrition (fiber, fats, vitamins, etc. ), the text then concentrates on types of food (vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, meats and poultry, fish and shellfish, dairy and eggs) , covering over 500 fresh and whole foods that the average American cook would use, although not all regional varieties are included. Accompanied by photographs, each food and its varieties are described with availability information, shopping tips, storage information, preparation ideas, and serving suggestions (although there are no actual recipes). I love this book!!!! So much information!

This book is great for people that really want to know about the food they consume on a daily basis. I was educated on so much & its very easy to read & to understand.

When a friend introduced me to "The Wellness Encyclopedia of Food and Nutrition", I was excited to have it as part of my library! The book contains many insightful facts, shopping hints, storage advice, and preparation tips! Unfortunately, upon further browsing of it's pages, I could not find some of the vegetables I want to research. As a future Doctorate of Nutrition, owning literal resources is very important to me. Make no mistake, it is far from "a waste of money". The book continues to be very educational for both family and friends. If, by chance, this encyclopedia does not contain the food you are looking for, then you'll have to find additional research elsewhere; I strongly encourage all of you to have this informative material in your home.

As a Nutritionist, I find "The Wellness Encyclopedia of Food and Nutrition" is still the very best book of its kind. It is well organized, well written for understanding, is relevant for everyday use and is full of key nutritional needs for each food necessary for balanced nutrition. I often give this book as gifts to family and friends and they love it! I highly recommend this nutritional book for its comprehensive, simply to understand descriptions of what our everyday foods are composed of and why we need them.

This is probably one of the best books I've ever bought on food. It helps when I have a new food as it provides nutrition info, how to buy, store, prepare, etc. I have relied on this book over the years and recently bought another copy for my college-bound daughter. Truly a must-have book for every home!

I have had this book for years and I use it often as a reference for selection, storage, preparation, and nutritional information of a variety of foods. I wish they would write an updated version -- if they did I would definitely purchase it. I recently purchased this book from Amazon to give as a gift, even though it is out of print.

The book "The Wellness Encyclopedia of Food and Nutrition" that we ordered arrived in the condition the seller said it was in and was packaged well. My husband's parents have one of these books. My daughter really liked it and wanted one for herself. It has a lot of information in it that she wanted. It is a good book for people who are interested in eating and living healthy. We were happy to find one on Amazon for her. Thankyou for making it possible to find things like this on-line. :)

This book is beautifully put together, and I use it all the time to find out about various foods, how they should be stored, prepared etc. It is very useful, and faster than chasing down information on the internet!

My only regret in wishing to follow up on this most excellent text is that the much anticipated 2nd Edition - which was originally scheduled for a June, 2014 release; then, October, 2014; June, 2015, and now October, 2015 - has been delayed. Great Read!!! Not being an avid reader a book must cover an interesting topic and be written in Layman's terms. From the first two pages I was hooked. Working in the SAAS space and wondering why some decisions are made by marketing that don't make sense "Hacking Growth" helps make sense of all of it. I highly recommend for anyone in sales who feels like marketing is not listening and making strange decisions. Very thought provoking and easy to understand just how valuable data is and when used properly can help a business grow quickly.

Great Book, I enjoyed the tales as well as the given explanation that Rab Rami provides on them.It helped me to understand about part of Hasidic Jews vision, hopes and dreams.I could identify myself with many of these moving stories but I could certainly differ in others (that's why the 4 stars); however, they are all good and makes you think on your own beliefs, dreams and values.

I am a friend of Rabbi Rami, his brilliant insights and easily accessible writing has always been a delight. His philosophy combines the ancient mystical teachings of kabbalah and non dualistic Vedanta along with his very long experience with Zen practice make his philosophy truly cross cultural and all encompassing. He is a wonderful compassionate and intelligent man. This is a cherished volume for me one which I read frequently.

This is a collection of stories written by and for Hasidic Jews, which I, a Gentile, read for the purpose of gaining insight into Hasidism. I had found that every Hasidic Jew I had become acquainted with turned out to be very likable, which aroused my curiosity, because I had confused Hasidism with Jewish Fundamentalism, something it most definitely isn't! It is more akin in spirit, I think, to Zen Buddhism, albeit definitely theistic (or panentheistic).These tales also are reminiscent of the parables of the Jewish prophet of more than a millenium and a half earlier, Yeshua bar Miriam, better known today by the distorted version of his name (with every component phoneme changed) after it passed from his native Aramaic thru Greek, Latin, and finally into English, where it came out 'Jesus.' Had he been born in the mid-eighteenth century or later, Jesus might well have become a Hasid.Altho I grew up hearing occasional casual remarks disparaging of Jews, I never got acquainted with any until college, where I discovered that about 40% of the students I found most likable turned out to be from the 5% of the students who were Jewish, an experience which preindisposed me to become bigoted against Jews.These tales, delightful in themselves, conveyed to me much of the essence of Hasidism. While some of them may have more relevance for you if you're Jewish, you definitely don't have to be Jewish to appreciate and enjoy them, and Rabbi Shapiro's notes are very helpful.
